Alright, I decided to do series of season "hobos" becuase everybody does pictures of seasonal faeries and I decided to do hobos instead becuase it seemed like an amusing twist on the same-old-same-old.
Now what's a hobo? For those of you are looking for this pic to match a specific definition...well you may not find one ^.^ My definition of hobo is hopefully a little bit more light-hearted. MY hobo is a disheveled gentleman, with patches, stitches and a monocle (most likely a hat, only it's not apparent in this picture) and maybe I'll stick birds in all of them too...
--[[Autumn]]--
Autmn is the season I was trying to represent here, Thanksgiving and Halloween are obviously the two holidays (atleast in the U.S.) that define the autumn season but I tried my best to steer away from fashioning the pictures after a specific holiday and more of the season itself.
I made our hobo here look like a scarecrow, I wanted to put a straw hat on him put I did not think it would fit well with the rest of the composition, so instead I gave him patches, some straw sticking out, and a scythe (I suppose the crow suggests the same theme as well...) And the glowing orb in the middle there is supposed to be the harvest moon (i'm not sure if it's the same as the "hunting moon" but it's the moon when it appears to be blood red, and MUCH larger than normal.)
Watercolor with a hint of Colored Pencil
11x15 Cold press watercolor paper
GAH! It'll be years before i can reach your level -__- you have an amazing eye for colour...and on top of that, you've got an abundance of creativity @___@
Really? *strokes chin* because the colors really didn't turn out how I wanted them...but I good enough to post I suppose. And I'm only imaginitive becuase I'm constantly inspired by the awesome people I watch (namely you XP).
Man, Awa! Every time I think I'm doin' pretty good (Lenore and her somewhat lop-sided eyes) you have to go and be awesome-ish moose... Gaah! Only 2 favs? What's this? The color scheme turned out beautifully. Last I saw, there was nor reddish in it at all... *sighs* so awesome...

If you light a man a fire, you will keep him warm for a while. If you SET a man afire, you will keep him warm for the rest of his life.
well thank goodness I'm here to bring back deritive terms that have been swept out with all this "political correctness"!! @.@ Anyways, the term "hobo" is usually meant as a jeering term used to describe the homeless, but I take it upon my fancy to use it in a manner perhaps less offensive, MY hobo (as this picture is meant to represent) is my sort of disheveled gentleman, with patches, stitches and a monocle (most likely a hat, only it's not apparent in this picture...)...but I hope all of this rambling has somewhat answered the question ^.^
Surely has, I just can't wait for you to continue the series...
And this is actually increasing the extreme amount of inspiration I have right now!

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

All of his patches, the hay-bundle-wings and all of the paper flowers are just...extraordinary!
No criticism, I could bring myself that low, but instead a question:
What's a Hobo???
