When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

"Let the dream begin,
Let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write, The power of the music of the night! You alone can make my song take flight, Help me make the music of the night..." Acrylic painting of the phantom after he takes Christine deep within his lair (and shows her that creepy maniquin, that would make me faint as well...). I noticed that Phantom often had this hawk-like expression of protection on his face, which was sort of touching, so I tried to capture it here in a "she's mine" pose while still keeping it mystic and romantic (he is the angel of music you know...) and I'm extremely satisfied with the way it came it out becuase acrylic is so hard to get to blend skin tones with... This was painted on a canvas and the acrylice piled on so I did the best to smooth the lumps but you can still sort of see the grain of the canvas but don't think any less of it. And as a last note that green stuff is supposed to the mist on the river...in case you couldn't tell For reference I used basically anything you find in a Phantom of the opera gallery and a special picture provided by the the lovely Tama-chan as reference for her head. Yet the image as awhole was, of course not comprised of one single image. Acrylic on canvas (I'v forgotten the size, but it's about twice as big as my usual watercolor size...) |

[Drown my will to fly]
I love his hands. They're so expressive considering they arent doing more than holding Christine up.
Excellent work!!
